FAQ's
Are there any parking restrictions?

Our Car parks have a height restriction as follows:

 

Long Stay 3.5 m or 11’ 6’’
Mid Stay 3.5 m or 11’ 6 ‘’
Meet & Greet 2.2 m or 7’ 2’’
Valet – 2.2 m or 7’ 2’’
Short Stay Car Parks (Red, Orange, Green) – No restriction
Jet Parks – No Restriction

 

Trailers are not permitted in any of our parking facilities.

What process do I follow if I have pre-booked Long Stay, Mid Stay or Short Stay parking?

At car park entrance, take a ticket from the machine if you have not pre-booked. If you have pre-booked, the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system will recognise your number plate and the barrier will automatically lift. If you have any issues please buzz the intercom and inform the operator you have pre-booked online.

 

If you have not pre-booked, you can pay at the pay stations in the terminal buildings when you leave OR insert your credit/debit card at the exit barrier. The card will be charged automatically with the correct amount. If you have pre-booked, the barrier will automatically lift on recognition of your vehicle registration.

What process do I follow if I have pre-booked Meet & Greet parking?

If you have pre-booked Meet & Greet, approach the entry barrier and your car will automatically activate the intercom system. The operator will grant you access and provide parking instructions. Please remember to hand your keys into the office.

 

Upon your return M&G (Meet & Greet) Reception, staff in will direct you to your car and advise of the exit procedure.

What process do I follow if I have pre-booked Valet parking?

If you have pre-booked Valet, approach the entry barrier on the Forecourt, the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system will recognise your number plate and the barrier will automatically lift. If you have any issues please buzz the intercom and inform the operator you have pre-booked online.

 

On your return please walk to the Valet Office located adjacent to the PTI/Red Short Stay Car Park and a member of staff will escort you to your car and advise of the exit procedure.

How are parking charges calculated on this website?

Car parks are priced per calendar day or part thereof. Prices are subject to change and quotes are valid at the time of booking only. The number of days charged is calculated on the basis of the dates and times you select at time of booking.

 

For example if you are travelling on a Monday and returning the following Monday you will be charged for 8 days.

 

All prices shown are in GBP and include VAT at 20%

How do I amend my booking?

Booking can be amended up to 24 hours before your car parking is due to start. Amend your booking online or call 0871 310 4111 *. Please note if you booked during a sale or at a lower price and that rate is no longer available the new rates will apply.

How do I cancel my booking?

Cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions of your booking.

 

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled car park arrival date. A £7.50 administration charge will be levied and deducted from the refunded amount. Bookings made less than 24 hours before departure cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable.

All bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the car park arrival date will not be refunded.

How late can I make an advance booking?

Bookings are accepted up until 2 Hours before arrival for short stay, mid stay and long stay. You can make a booking for Valet or Meet & Greet up to 6 hours in advance of travel.

I have a blue disabled parking permit. Where should I park?

For Customers wishing to turn up and park, please follow the signs to the terminal and then for Long, Midstay or Short Stay Parking. All Car Parks have disabled bays clearly signed. For Long Stay use Zone Q (271 Spaces) Mid Stay Car Park and Short Stay Car Parks are all clearly signed.

 

Jet Parks Customers (Pre Booked Only) please ensure that at time of booking you make your requirements known and you will be upgraded automatically into Long Stay Zone Q.

 

For Long Stay and Mid Stay Car Parks a regular bus service operates and the buses are DDA compliant.

I have booked parking in advance. What do I need to bring to the airport?

All you need is your booking confirmation e-mail. This will help you get to the correct car park and also has your reference number in case you need to speak to a member of staff.

I have some questions to ask before I make a booking. Who do I contact?

My vehicle details have changed. What do I do?

You can amend your vehicle details free of charge up to 24 hours before your parking is due to start. Amend your vehicle details online or call 0871 310 4111*

What are the differences between our car parks?

All our car parks are on site and are managed by Stansted Airport. However, the price can vary dependant on availability, car parking facilities and distance to the terminals. View information on all our car parks at a glance to decide which one is most suitable for your needs.

What happens after I have made my booking?

You will receive an on screen confirmation which details your booking reference and instructions (please read these carefully). Please print this page for your records as you will need the information at the airport.

 

We will also send you a confirmation e-mail; failure to receive the confirmation e-mail has no bearing on the status of your booking.

What if I have pre-booked and my vehicle is not recognised by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system?

If your vehicle has not been recognised, please press the intercom assistance button on the entry column, a member of staff will then assist you.

What if I return later than the date on the booking?

You will be charged for the additional days at the standard turn up rate. Please refer to the terms and conditions on your booking confirmation. Please note charges are only applicable if you leave the car park 6 hours after the departure date and time entered at time of booking.

What is Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system?

Automatic Number Plate Recognition is used for pre-book customers only. If you have pre-booked your parking, drive up to the barrier, once the ANPR Cameras have recognised your vehicle registration the barrier will raise so you may enter the car park. If for any reason the ANPR Cameras do not recognise your Registration plate (If the vehicle plate is obscured by dirt etc.), the barrier will not lift in this instance. Please press the intercom assistance button located on the entry column and a member of staff will assist you.

What payment methods are accepted for pre booking?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta ,Maestro, American Express, and Electron for pre-booking. We are unable to accept any other form of payment via this website.

Where do I park if I’m collecting or dropping someone off?

Information on picking up and dropping off passengers can be found on the Stansted Airport Website.

Why is there no availability for the dates I am trying to book?

This could be because you are trying to book for less than the minimum stay, the Car park is fully booked for part or all of your stay or you do not meet the booking conditions for that product.
